- Vocational routes into employment
- Access to employment
- Promoting social inclusion among disadvantaged groups
The European Social Fund (ESF) Operational Programme is part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
The investment will be key to helping the LEP realise its ambition of securing a well-qualified and adaptable workforce with the skills sets appropriate to the needs of existing business growth sectors, as well as those in which there are aspirations for economic growth.
The Skills Funding Agency (SFA), Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and Big Lottery-Building Better Opportunities Fund (BBO) are the three Opt-In Partners providing the match funding for the programme. The added benefit is that the Opt-In Partners have procured providers on behalf of the LEP and will performance manage them in a cost effective way, ensuring EU compliance and governance requirements are met.
